My father ran a small community health clinic and asked for help. That’s when I left my job on Wall Street to run the business. Soon, I wanted to expand the clinic to provide mental health care for people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds, and within 18 months, we grew from six to 60 employees. In 2010, my father had a serious heart condition that forced him to retire immediately, and I became CEO. I was 24.
When I joined Vistage, I was an absolute sponge. I wanted to be a better leader and make some untraditional moves, and Vistage helped with all of this.
